Refreshed Tech is now a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher

We've completed our first install and are now recognized as a Third Party Refurbisher (TPR) with the ability to produce certified Microsoft refurbished computers. It's a meaningful milestone — and it changes what we can put in customers' hands.

What the MAR program actually is

The Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program licenses a small number of organizations to install and distribute genuine Microsoft software on refurbished computers. Getting in isn't a formality: it requires meeting Microsoft's hardware and software quality standards, and holding them consistently.

The point of the program is to make refurbished machines legitimate rather than improvised — properly licensed, properly tested, and supportable.

Why it matters

The bigger picture

The tech industry turns product over fast, and the accumulated waste is the byproduct. Refurbished electronics are the practical alternative: reuse instead of replacement, at a price that works for schools, nonprofits and businesses that can't justify new hardware every three years.

Becoming a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher expands what we can do inside that model. Customers get genuine Microsoft machines that are dependable, licensed and materially cheaper — and a few thousand more devices stay out of a landfill.
