We started in a small Indiana town— and stayed.

Refreshed Tech opened in Ashley, Indiana in 2018 with a stubborn premise: responsible buyback should be the default, not a line item on the proposal. Eight years later, that premise is the company.

We buy back and refurbish phones, tablets, laptops and Chromebooks from school districts, enterprises, leasing operators and channel partners — and we report every dollar and every gram of carbon back to the partner who trusted us with it.

We're not the loudest company in this space. We don't need to be. The partners who find us tend to stick around, and most of our growth is referrals from school IT directors and channel partners who got a fair price and a clean wipe and told the next person.

Kyle Wainwright launches Refreshed Tech with a stubborn premise: device buyback shouldn't be a black box. Year one is mostly K-12 districts and a lot of phone calls.

EDU vertical takes hold

School districts find us. The K-12 refresh calendar becomes the rhythm of the business — and the operational muscle we still run on today.

One of the credentials that takes a year of paperwork and you can't fake. We earned it.

TaaS platform launches

Trade-In-as-a-Service (TaaS) goes live — white-labeled buyback for enterprise + retail. The back-end we'd been running internally, productized for partners.
